  36.     requirements and applicable laws to see if you qualify for the
  37.     status of a Peace Officer in the State of Texas.  This program was
  38.     written by a Police Academy Director-Instructor for a Licensed Texas
  39.     Police Academy.  Please feel free to share the program with others,

  71.     and tried many different Electronic Book and Reference Systems.  I
  72.     finally settled on LookBook (c) by Red Oak Data System.  In my
  73.     opinion their program had everything I was looking for and more.  If
  74.     you think that you could use a system such as the one I used for
  75.     this program, then contact them. I strongly recommend this program.

  107.     To START the PROGRAM, from the floppy drive just type: GO and follow
  108.     the prompts. For example, if your floppy drive is A:

  112.     To PRINT the MANUAL, once inside the program, then select the "F1"
  113.     Key (Help option).  This will place you in the LookBook Help
  114.     section.  You can then print the help file by selecting the "F10"

  168.     to obtain an Intermediate Peace Officer's Certification you must,

  173.          ■  Arrest, Search and Seizure
  174.          ■  Use of Force
  175.          ■  Crime Scene Investigation.

  177.     These courses represent three (3) Education Points, by TCLEOSE, for
  178.     each class.  Three education points is approximately sixty (60)
  179.     hours of classroom time.  To purchase the INSTRUCTOR GUIDES for

  199.     The INSTRUCTOR GUIDES are written and distributed by the Texas
  200.     Commission on Law Enforcement Officer Standards and Education
  201.     (TCLEOSE). These INSTRUCTOR GUIDES are then used by the Instructors
  202.     to develop their lesson plans. They serve as a guide for the
  203.     absolute minimum instructional material for each course. The state
  204.     course examination questions comes from these INSTRUCTOR GUIDES.

  206.     These programs should be considered as an absolute must, for any
  207.     student who is about to enter, or is currently enrolled in any Basic
  208.     Law Enforcement Officer Course; Correction Officer Course; or any of
  209.     the Intermediate Core Courses.  These programs also add to any Texas
  210.     Peace Officer's Library, as a form of future reference.  This new
  211.     idea of a "Library of the Future" is here and now.  More and more
  212.     computers are being used in law enforcement, computer are not going
  213.     away.  They are the tools for the professional and innovated.
